Last Week's Outings

Last week I took the kids on a couple of outings with friends. Thursday we met Susan, Ken and their girls at the zoo. We had a fun time! Coyle said his favorite animals were the giraffes and of course his overall favorite part was riding the train. He yelled "All Aboard" the entire time we were riding. I didn't bring my camera, so there's no pictures.

Friday we met Sarah and her girls at the Children's Area of the Botanical Gardens. I only got a couple of pictures because it was hard to watch two kids and take pics. Coyle enjoyed steering the paddleboat in the top pic and is hamming it up in the bottom. It was a great afternoon despite the downpour that ended our fun!

Coyle (Clay, too) has been having so much fun playing with his "new" legos that his cousin Erin handed down to him. The two boys have built houses, trucks, trains, garages, forts, etc... The only problem is Bella; she likes to destroy things very quickly. We now try to build on tables to avoid this problem.

Pigtails!!

Yesterday we drove out to Troy for a birthday party for Morgan at Susan and Ken's house. We decided to fix Bella's hair for the occasion. It was definitely a team effort. Clay held Bella down while I fixed her hair into pigtails. We loved the outcome but man it was a lot of work to accomplish!

Coyle had so much fun at the party playing with all the kids! He really thought the birthday cake was delicious!

Happy 8 months, Bella!

Wow! Bella is 8 months old today. She can do the following:

sit up

crawl

pull up to knees (trying really hard to pull up to standing)

get to sitting position from stomach

eats 3 meals of solid foods daily (peas, bananas, bagel, sweet potato, bread, etc...)

drinks water from a sippy cup
